Mr. Moore,

As a long time fan of the madden franchise, I implore you to visit the Madden NFL General Discussion forum, and you will see why so many people are dissatisfied with this years edition of Madden NFL 10. Loyal fans feel slighted by the trend of micro transactions, and pick up and play game play. That, coupled with the bugs, glitches, adn design decision of Ian Cummings, not to mention his promotional lies, have turned many gamers away, and will continue to do so!

i don't know sir, if you are a fan of NFL football, or have the amount of respect and love that Madden gamers have for the namesake, but we as a whole feel an injustice and disservice is being done to the game with it's current release. look here www.youtube.com/watch , and you will see some of the poor design decisions made by the current team, and then go to the forums and read some of the complaints. You will quickly begin to realize the the base group of consumers who purchase this product are dissatisfied with it's game play and direction. In short Madden NFL 10 is a poor representation of gameplay and presentation to what we see on Sunday, or have been expecting from a company who has had 5 years of uncontested development on this one particular property. I Thank you in advance for any effort you take, or reading this sir.

I almost didn't notice your response. Normally, I check the current topic and that's it.

I just have this feeling that NCAA 10 will be very similar to 09 with a handful of improvements and I have been hoping for more. I keep hoping for a game that is designed for coaches and players alike. I would like the ability to hire/fire coordinators as a coach. I would like the ability to work as an assistant at a small school and get an opportunity to become a head coach. Gamebreaker did this many years ago so I can't figure out why EA Sports is having so much trouble catching up to a game that has been dead for at least 6 years now. I am sure that it has been longer but I don't know the actual date. The NCAA Basketball game got the visuals right last year but the gameplay is still the same.

I want the recruiting process to go much more in-depth. I would like to see a campus legend mode where you feel what it is like to be a highly recruited player. How about the ability to really control the recruiting process just as coaches do in real life? As of 09's game, you didn't have the option to start a coaching dynasty after completing campus legend. This was in PS2 versions of this game. Is it really that difficult to program into the next generation consoles? I think it has more to do with bad staff. We get to pay 10 dollars more for a game that does less than its predecessors? If you are going to put less into the game then why not charge 10 dollars less?

The NCAA Basketball game got the visuals right last year but the gameplay is still the same. College Hoops did things better and I will buy their game if it ever returns to the market over March Madness or whatever name it will go by this year. EA Sports is committed to slapping a new number on an old game and then announcing that is done.

The NCAA Football sales are declining and have been for at least 3 years now. Maybe it is time for EA Sports to shake up the game and make it in a different way. I could argue for the College Basketball game but I still hold out hope that EA Sports will actually listen to their fans with that game.

I realize that the game is probably finished and very few changes will be made be to it but please realize that I had been following the development forums and very few of the ideas posted are actually being implemented in the game. There was communicating to the users of those forums that the forums had been moved so users kept posting there with ideas. I guess EA Sports really wasn't listening this year. The fact that the development forums moved is just a conveinent excuse to use when users compain about buying another recylced product from EA Sports. Right Peter Moore? Right Raczilla?

Hey peter can you pass these videos along to Ian, Phil and the boys...Its 2 videos of how d-backs like Asante Samuel hold the football when they intercept a pass. I think adding an animation like the two handed ball carry could really add to Madden 10..

I talked to Obama about your challenge today. He said you tell us when theres going to be a new PC version of Madden and hell take up your challenge. He likes playing wii with the kids but when it comes to football hes a pure sim guy and doesnt mess with kiddie consoles.

Hi Peter. No news regarding rugby? The British and Irish lion’s tour is almost finished and I was hoping that there would have been news by now? Over 70 000 fans came to South Africa this year to support the lions, not a bad figure if you consider that these fans are but only a very small percentage of fans that are following the test series. I still think it would have been a great time to launch a new rugby game, more or less what you did with Rugby 08 during the world cup, since the lions tour only takes place every four years.

Are you aware of the amount of people interested in a new rugby game? I suppose and hope that you are!? Otherwise you would not have been a very good president of EA Sports... so let’s just say that you are aware. I have no idea why you’re not currently interested in developing a new rugby game for the 360 and ps3. I'll take a few swings in the dark and you can tell me whether I'm wrong or right. OK?

Let’s see: Rugby 08 didn’t sell as well as you wanted it too? That can also be because, and please let’s be honest here, the fact that EA did not make much of an improvement from 06 to 08? You guys were trying to make a quick buck because of the world cup and rushed the game to get on the shelves on time... and then it back fired a bit, didn’t it? And because of that you are convinced that it’s the fans that aren’t interested in playing the game they are so passionate about on a console. Your words probably were "narrow minded rugby bums! No point in doing this again!" Never taking into account that if you tried a bit harder and approved a slightly bigger budget; about half of what you spend to develop Madden for instance, the game would have been a bigger success? And don’t get me wrong, I have over 100 games mostly from EA, but Rugby is my favorite by a landslide! I love it, really love it! But I think in a way you are a victim of your own success. Only because you set the bar so high with Madden, NHL, Tiger and all the other sport brands. So it only makes sense that the people were disappointed with 08 because they knew what EA is capable of, felt a bit short changed, word got around and for obvious reasons people didn’t buy it.

The other possibility is licensing? Maybe the IRB, all unions and franchises involved are giving you a hard time? Although I can’t see it though. I mean along with MMA, rugby is one of the fasted growing sports in the world. And I know the IRB is on a mission to globalize the game and take it to all corners of the world and EA rugby would only help that mission along. So it would be for their benefit at the end of the day.

To honest the thing that throws me the most is the fact that you told ps3 magazine last year that we must be on the lookout for rugby and cricket on the next gen consoles. Any way hope to get an answer soon.

Unsure if this has been confirmed or not but it appears that the NCAA series has been selling fewer copies for the past 3 years. Is EA Sports truly listening to their fans? Wouldn't that translate to more sales if EA Sports were truly listening to their fans? Obviously, fans are finding reasons to not buy the game year after year.

I keep hoping for Head Coach elements to be implemented in the game. You can coach or you can play the game. Your choice. How about that for a marketing effort? Maybe this could include some gameplanning elements. Career mode with the ability to start off at a small school has been requested. The College Hoops series was always regarded as the superior product in College Basketball but EA Sports hasn't learned from that experience. March Madness is still going through name changes and it will probably eventually be axed simply because EA Sports doesn't listen to their consumers. I stayed away from the game simply because there was nothing compelling about the game. There was no feature that made me want to buy the game.

This is probably the way that NCAA football fans feel. I will pick it up as usual but I have to admit that there aren't a whole lot of great new features to look forward to. Sorry to be negative about an upcoming title but I think that it is time for EA Sports to start listening to the consumer and maybe sales will go up instead of down.
