If he goes with the Jets which looks pretty good why not just dump Farve and switch to a pic of Madden himself...not only will that cause great contraversy it will put your game into the mouths of every sports radio fan and mainstream media!

2 weeks ago, I got the red rings of death. I sent my 360 in for repair but I have not received it back yet. I am a huge Madden fan so I could not wait any longer so I went out and bought a new 360 so I could play the demo and get the game Monday night Aug. 11th. I will be giving my fixed 360 to a friend that wants to play Madden but do not have the money to get a new 360.

I have downloaded the demo on XBOX 360 and at first I was like I don't know about this. I played thru the "Tron" skills test and kinda liked it. Then started the game, and at first I didnt know what to think but I kept replaying it. After about 4 times, I wanted to keep playing more and more. I got to really like it and I can't wait to get it Monday night!!

I hope to pick it up at Madden Palooza that night but I have not gotten a ticket yet. I guess I will have to go wait in line at the Rose Bowl early that day. I just moved to the SoCal area 3 weeks ago for a "fresh start" on life because I just went thru a divorce and other issues. I would love to go to Madden Palooza and play Madden and watch some great bands! I would also like to meet you!

Go BEARS!!

Timothy,

I guess you have a good point (I was the "name" above, had a browser problem), but what kind of extra content are you exactly talking about? I can't really think of a whole heck of a lot they could add, plus they could always use DLC for both 360 and PS3. In addition, I'm pretty sure that most games (including Madden) only use 2-3GB of disc space. The 360 has 9GB capacity, an PS3 has somewhere around 50GB. Thanks to the magic of compression, disc storage really isn't an advantage for PS3 over 360.

And as for the Wii, I am pretty sure that they just use a port of the Xbox 1/PS2 version, and add a few extra things. Therefore, the Wii isn't really holding it back either.

I'm not saying you have a bad point about adding extra stuff (extras are always good), but I just don't really see what they would add, and esepcially what they would add that would take up 6+GB.

By extra content I am talking about additional features/game modes. could certainly add more annimations and allow for more customability like Photo face, custom music. Certainly the game could be rendered in a higher resolution.

re: Welcome Back Brett

Peter,

I just wanted to give props to some of your developers that have made a very real effort to get more involved with the sports gaming communities. For the first time ever, I feel like the EA developers are listening to feeback and trying to give us what we want. I am not sure if you have anything to do with this sudden activity or even if you encourage it at all....if not you should! Anyway I think it is a positive sign and I thought amongst all the negative flack you generally get here it might be nice to get a pat on the back.

Now with the good I have a little bit of bad. I think with some of the bugs that NCAA experienced at release and some potential bugs that Madden is staring at that you and your team need to really look at how you can make your QA process better. I realize since you put out a title yearly that there is a natural time constraint. With that being said though, I hope that relying on patches yearly does not become the norm. Patches are cool if they are not used as a crutch. For 60 bucks we don't want to wait a month or two after we purchase the game to get a "finished" product.

So in summary you guys are showing progress. Keep the community involvement up and continue to look at your QA process and how you can make it better.

First off the Wii isn't up to the same specs as PS3 and 360 so all there games are different than PS3 and 360. No what I am talking about has nothing to do with game play persay and everything to do with content.

Remember when NFL 2k5 came out and 360 0wners could have full action replays at halftime but ps2 owners didn't have that feature. Well that is what I am talking about. The PS3 and the 360 would have the same core game but the PS3 would take advantage of the added disc space and could include far more content.

Back in the old gen consoles the PC version of sports games always had more content than its console counterpart. This isn't a new concept I am coming up with here.

Its silly to hamstring PS3 owners b/c of the short comings of 360/wii consoles. Certainly taking full advantage of the bluray disc in EA sports games would drive hardware sales through the roof.

re: Welcome Back Brett

Timothy,

The reason EA doesn't make a game geared towards the PS3 is becasue of money. They aren't going to make 3 separate games, it just doesn't make sense to do that. Because of the PS3's awkward 3 processor setup, games must be made for the 360 and then ported to the PS3, not the other way around. Don't expect this to change anytime soon. Btw, there is a thing called compression which makes the Blu Ray unnecessary, and the PS3 isn't technically any more powerful than the Xbox 360.
