So Glad there is no TW2009 on PC. If 2008 is anything to go by, one of the poorest games we have ever played. Get through all the rounds and go onto the pro tour circuit only to find the s/ware has been pre programmed to prevent you making the cut on all games, isn't that like playing MOH and someone forgetting to tell the germans they should be there ? I and a couple of colleagues run an IT department at a local college. 3 months ago we set up brand new HP machines and got 10 copies of TW2008 and used this as an example of "Electronic Arts (EA) is the world's leading independent developer and publisher of interactive software" and how it should not be done. We have 10 students who play during lunch hours, lessons and after college in the evenings. This is best example of how to kill future and some current customers interest in EA Games. We have dabbled with the TW series previously - this is by far the best (or poorest) example of their inability - I hope EA sacked and witheld wages of the bozo's who developed the TW series. graphics are excellent, gameplay is predictable and a sacrifice of quantity not quality has been made in what seems like a deliberate attempt to pump out 2nd rate software. Let's look at the game in a bit more detail. course design and number of courses are excellent, the rather obvious inadequacies stick out a mile. A lofted wedge in the deep rough on one hole has a distance of 63 yards for a shot distance to the pin of 26 feet (deep rough). the next hole, the distance from the pin is 42 feet and the same LW has a distance of 24feet ?(med rough) How obvious is the preprogramming on some of the courses, including the wind, on some shots you can correct for the wind, say a 10 mph wind and watch the ball follow your path, e.g the 10 mph wind has no effect on the ball and it lands in the preprogrammed area, away from the pin. On another course, or hole, a 30 mph wind takes the ball out of bounds no matter how much you correct - the students have picked up on these obvious glitches and due to the above and a whole string of other defects, EA games have managed to persuade half a class of students to abandon EA games, but it has served as a very good example of how not to design and programme a PC game and a company none of them will want to work for. well done for chasing away your customers EA games - don't bother to keep up the poor work

I (like many others) have no plans to buy a console for gaming.

Hey Peter,

I'm not here to tell you how to do your job, but why don't you have your people that are making NBA Live every year to stop dicking around? This game has been the same since about 2002 and has gone down hill after hitting it's peak in 2005.

EA is selling an awful product and yet people continue to buy it. I'll take my $65 elsewhere thank you.

It's nice that you forget your roots. If it weren't for computers, AND the people that own them, there would be no EA!!! Face it, your corporate greed is leading you to abandon a significant segment of the gaming population.

I intend to contact the NFL, and recommend everyone else does this..as well as the PGA and have them look at this, because with you folks having an exclusive contract (NFL in particular) you may very well be in breach of contract with them.

I guess I should crawl out from under my rock more often, but I am just reading that EA games is not producing several titles for the PC this year. I have been a VERY loyal customer since the infant days of EA games and have owend almost every sports title and absolutely love the Medal of Honor series.

I have no misconceptions that by writing this is going to make a difference in your business plans but you can now count on your annual sales reports will be at least $200 less in sales every year from now on. By turning your backs on the customers who MADE EA what it is today you have lost one of your longest standing customers.

Wow, I wonder how your stock is trading today.

Your newest and guaranteed not the last customer you will loose over this choice

LOL who cares? nba 2k9 is out on pc and it blows away any ea sports game EVER. So lets hope that this better company will continue to support the pc platform

We should have known that no Tiger Woods was comng as each year the concentration seem to more and more on the X-box and Playstation formats. Even though I have a playstation it's a much better game on the PC. Hopefully you will change your mind and start the pc game again. If not we can only hope for another game from another company. Links used to be the top dog until it was phased out by Microsoft and I turned to Tger Woods.

I am a businessman like yourself. I do understand that a business decision was made to suspend PC games for 2009. For me, I own every version of TW and was very dissapointed that no 2009 version is available. I play regularly at my PC since I don't have a chance at the xbox-360 with my 16 year old son in the house. Regardless, I hope that this is a one year suspension and not permanent. I think most people who play would never take the time to find this board, let alone enter a comment. My AMEX card will be in my hand waiting.

Dear Peter

I have bought all TW games since 1997 I think, and have asked for new updates in the stores in DK = Denmark. Everytime the assistent told me that they do nok know when it arrived. today I had some time to investigat and west on the EA international web site....and discovered that you skiped the PC version.

This is a sad moment, I can understand that you do not sell enought og the PC games, but a lot of people or us older people like to play the game, and are not into XBOX, PS3 or WIii. We simply like to sit together with our best friends (The PC, and TW) and play online or off line. This is fun and very relaxing.

The sales figures last year could be that there eas not much new in the 2008 game.

My hope is that you will take into consideration that all we who love EA, and the games you produced a game to all us in 2010. so please.

Last but not least Why is it not clearly announced on your website that TW for PC not will be produced. There is nothing on the danish website and i have used long time to find this ispot here....
