I buy Madden for the PC every year at midnight. It was the best of the best in the PC gaming world, and really shined on a 10-foot screen.

Here's hoping some young, hungry company grows to fill this void.

The dynamic skill I'm really going to enjoy, because if you start to slump, so will your ratings. It will be a nice way to implement slumps and streaks that golfers tend to go through during a season. I'm also glad to see Haney's contribution to using the Club Tuner as well in regards to getting the most out of your clubs.

As for online, I'm definitely agreeing with the changes you're making to GamerNet. I like the new scoring system, as well as implementing the challenges to the offline play as well (as long as it doesn't get in the way and subtle when you go about telling someone that they can go for a GamerNet challenge). I thought GamerNet was one of the most innovative features to hit a golf game, or any sports game, in quite sometime. Finally, the simultaneous play online is going to be a good feature when I'm not playing online with my buddies, but will be something I will not use when going online against friends.

Again thanks for the blog post and I'll be looking forward to more information as this game progresses. As it stands now this game comes out on August 26th, which is my birthday. It will be a very happy birthday for me as it stands with 09!

Forum/Category	Views	Messages

Tiger Woods Playstation2	131,811	2,841

Tiger Woods Playstation3	213,409	5,821

Tiger Woods XBOX 360	305,689	7,200

Tiger Woods Wii	125,677	1,252

Tiger Woods Handhelds	8,086	82

It's hard for me to believe there is more interest in the Handhelds than the PC version.

Not to be pitching any ideas or anything but i think that it would be great if ea made a lacrosse game. Lacrosse if the fastest growing sport in the nation. The more and more people that play lacrosse the more people will want this to game to be made. I think the game would be similar to a hockey style game but on a field and in the air. Another part of the game that could be included could be a shop like place in the game where the player can buy all different types of items. For example, while playing in a game their stick could break and they would have to buy a new one or use a back up stick. Also their could be a career mode where the player tries to get signed by a professional team from a well known lacrosse college. Another idea that came to me was to have a career mode witch could include a full all star fan selected team. Their also could be some mini games which could include a trick competition, one on ones, and shooting drills. If you think my idea would be cool but would never happen i wont take offense to any comments.

In my opinon EA should not place the entire blame(profits) for dropping the Madden PC platform on the PC player. They need to share some of the blame. I feel that over the years they have lessened their focus($$, R/D) on the Madden PC platform and their sales(profits) have shown that. I've seen many posts in the forums suggestiing great ideas for Madden games. I do not know how many of those were taken into consideration but if EA wanted to increase Madden PC sales(profits) then they should have found a way to work more closely with the PC players to find out what the game needs to have so that more people would buy it. More sales more profits on the game which would allow for it to continue to improve.

The PC game obviously doesn't make enough to justify the research & development is why. They only have to make 1 version for each console as they are not modded with video cards, memory, sound cards, different OS's & etc... So yes, when you take the research & devolopment opposed to the profit margins, the reasoning is pretty clear. The Nintendo DS version due to no fine tuning needed and easy confifurating for all DS units DOES ultimately cost less to produce & make more profit. When is the last time you saw a pirated Nintendo DS version? EA didn't drop the PC version to make people mad. They didn't do it to "screw" the PC crowd. This type of thinking makes no sense. Why are people making this so personal, I understand being unhappy about the platform drop but please explain how "screwing" the PC crowd helps EA. Please explain how dropping (if it was, and it's not) such a profitable platform benefits EA? Does it make sense of the profit was worth the R & D, EA would drop the PC game? This is about profit & loss, nothing more, nothing less.

I am a PC player also, have been for a loooong time but I do understand why EA dropped the platform. It needs to be said again (obviously) it's about the dough, moolah, dinero, dollars, bucks, coin, cash...
