Now It's a Fight

I hope you had a chance to watch some of the Strikeforce broadcast on CBS last Saturday night. It was proof-positive of the rising popularity of mixed martial arts that CBS gave a coveted primetime 9pm Saturday slot to the sport. The highlight of the card was of course Fedor Emelianenko and Brett Rogers, and the action certainly lived up to the advance billing, with Fedor eventually dispatching Rogers, but only after surviving an early cut nose and a spirited fight into the second round.

We're delighted to have announced that Strikeforce will be featured as a premier league in EA SPORTS MMA, and we used Saturday's big event as a chance to release our first gameplay video from the game.  EA SPORTS MMA is making big strides in development at Tiburon and we're confident this is going to be one of the most anticipated games of 2010.

Fedor’s In the Game

As you may have seen, yesterday we announced the addition of Fedor Emelianenko, the world's top-ranked MMA fighter, and Gegard Mousasi and Renato Sobral to the growing roster of fighters that will be featured in EA SPORTS MMA in 2010.
 
In particular, we couldn't be more delighted to announce Fedor as part of the team. His commitment to our product underlines how serious we are about continuing to invest in building this franchise. Despite commentary to the contrary, we are now in our second year of development, market planning and licensing execution at Tiburon and, with the release of our game, look forward to contributing to the global growth of mixed martial arts.
 
There is plenty of opportunity for growth in the coming years, and we are more than ready to do our part by bringing a top quality game to market featuring innovative gameplay and top class fighters...
